Senior Software Engineer - Golang / TypeScript

Description: Own features across the Threecolts Hub from initial design through production. Design and build clean, scalable, maintainable, well-tested, and performant services, APIs, and components. Support the customer account experience and the systems connecting users to the broader product ecosystem. Work independently within a defined scope and make sound technical decisions. Debug production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes. Contribute to technical discussions and help evolve architecture within your domain. Perform thoughtful code reviews and help raise code quality. Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and other product teams. Improve existing codebases without over-engineering. Build reliable platform functionality that supports customers and internal teams. Requirements: 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience. Strong proficiency in Golang and TypeScript. Experience building and maintaining backend services, APIs, and scalable application components. Experience working across frontend and backend systems, or strong backend experience with enough TypeScript to contribute confidently. Solid understanding of REST APIs, system design, and scalable application patterns. Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and data modelling. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS. Experience with authentication, account management, billing, payments, subscriptions, or platform products is beneficial. Experience debugging production systems and resolving issues independently. Comfortable working with Git, code reviews, and team-based development. Ability to work in an existing codebase and improve quality without over-engineering. This position will be hired on a contractor / self-employed basis. Benefits: Salary of $110,000 per year. Regular rate reviews. Bonus opportunities. Fully remote working.
