THE ROLE

As Account Director, you'll lead the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the studio, reporting to the Business Director. You'll be accountable for the quality, consistency, and financial performance of the account, managing a team of Project Managers, Creatives, and Social Strategists while acting as a trusted partner to senior client stakeholders across Europe.

This is a role for someone who moves comfortably between the big picture and the detail: shaping a long-term client relationship on one side, and keeping a complex, fast-moving creative operation running smoothly on the other.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead, develop, and motivate a multidisciplinary team including Project Managers, Creatives, and Social Strategists, with direct line management responsibility for five reports
  • Serve as the primary client contact, building senior-level relationships grounded in trust, transparency, and proactive strategic thinking
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the client's brand portfolio, marketing objectives, and audiences - translating insight into clear creative direction
  • Oversee the full creative process from brief to delivery: briefing, development, presentation, production, and distribution across social, video, POS, OOH/DOOH, and web
  • Identify, plan, and manage the internal and external resources needed to deliver briefs on time and to brief
  • Manage the financial health of the account, including budget forecasting, cost management, profitability tracking, and invoicing
  • Identify opportunities to expand the scope, tools, and services of the studio and develop compelling proposals to grow the relationship
  • Drive continuous process improvement, identifying and implementing efficiencies without compromising creative quality
  • Bring relevant industry trends, platform developments, and content best practice to the team and client on an ongoing basis
  • Build a studio culture that is collaborative, creatively ambitious, and oriented around delivering exceptional work

Budget and Financial Management

  • Oversee the studio's annual content budget and report financial performance against forecast
  • Present budget updates and account financials to client and OLIVER stakeholders
  • Accountable for the commercial health of the studio, including cost control, profitability, and invoicing accuracy

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A track record of leading content creation at a strategic level within an international environment, with strong grounding in social media content
  • Proficiency in English & French is required as we are a global business
  • Proven experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams, including direct line management
  • Confidence building and maintaining senior-level client relationships based on trust, strategic partnership, and deep brand understanding
  • Strong project management capability, able to plan, prioritise, and manage complex, multi-market workloads under pressure
  • End-to-end content expertise: from concepting and production through to distribution, performance, and iteration
  • Comfort with financial tracking, budget management, and commercial performance reporting
  • Clear and credible presentation skills, with the confidence to lead senior client conversations
  • Experience in, or strong working knowledge of, the FMCG sector is an advantage

Gen AI and Agentic Thinking

  • Confident, strategic use of Gen AI tools to enhance studio output, efficiency, and creative quality
  • Ability to set quality standards and governance for AI-assisted work at studio or account level
  • Agentic approach to complex business and creative challenges — systematic, solution-oriented, and able to lead a team through ambiguity
  • Drives AI literacy and responsible adoption across the team; brings critical judgment to the evaluation of AI outputs

Formal qualifications are welcome but not required. Equivalent experience gained through work, study, volunteering, or self-directed learning counts equally.
