About the Role
The Customer Service Specialist II at Uber Freight will play a central role in the operational execution of ground transportation management services. This position is critical to directly supporting the launch of a new strategic operation and ensuring the account's operational continuity. The selected candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end tracking of the shipment lifecycle, carrier coordination, and proactive resolution of in-transit contingencies, ensuring high compliance standards and smooth communication with the industrial client.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Order Planning: Receive, structure, and coordinate the processing of transport orders, ensuring efficient equipment allocation and compliance with delivery windows.
- Shipment Tender: Coordinate unit dispatch (FTL/LTL) with partner carriers in alignment with business rules and operational capacities.
- Track & Trace: Perform real-time monitoring of shipments during pickup, transit, and delivery stages to proactively detect and resolve incidents.
- Incident Management: Execute rapid resolution protocols for delays, mechanical breakdowns, or transit bottlenecks to minimize operational impact.
- KPI Measurement and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (such as OTD and OTP) and interact with the client to present reports and action plans when deviations occur.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience in ground transportation operations, shipment tracking (Track & Trace), and customer service.
- Mastery of the transportation operational workflow: order planning, shipment tender, and in-transit incident management.
- Functional familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and logistics tracking tools.
- Operational analysis skills and proficiency with service metrics (OTD / OTP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work experience within 3PL Logistics, Freight Management, or Supply Chain focused on the automotive/manufacturing industry.
- English language proficiency (fluent or advanced level, both spoken and written).
- Advanced skills in data analysis tools such as Excel or Google Sheets for building reports and dashboards.
- Excellent assertive communication, negotiation, and fast problem-solving skills.
