Software Engineer

THE ROLE

• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, product designers and business stakeholders on Lumi’s proprietary lending, risk management and customer service systems, building a shared understanding of customer and business needs.
• Design and deliver effective technical solutions using TypeScript and React, participate in code reviews and contribute to team agile ceremonies.
• Contribute to the continual improvement of our platform’s performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Explore and apply AI technologies where they can improve customer outcomes, internal processes or engineering productivity.

THIS PERSON IS SOMEONE WITH…

• 3+ years experience developing applications with TypeScript and React.
• Strong full stack engineering fundamentals and experience working with distributed microservices.
• Disciplined engineering practices, including unit and integration testing, code review and consideration of security and reliability.
• Strong problem-solving skills including exploring options and weighing trade-offs to address business needs.
• An ownership mindset, supporting solutions through development and in production.
• Experience with, or curiosity about, using generative AI tools effectively as part of the software development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a desire to learn, share knowledge and support others.
